Frequently Asked Questions

Are your products gluten free?

Our wheat berries do contain gluten.

What allergens are handled in your facility?

We do grow, process and package wheat in our facility. We do not grow, process and package soy, eggs, peanuts, fish, shellfish or dairy in our facility.

Should I store your products in the fridge or freezer?

Storing your wheat berries in a deep freeze type freezer, one that is not frost-free, would be the best long term storage solution. Otherwise, a cold, dry, dark location would be sufficient.

How should I store your product?

If you plan on keeping your product over 6 months we recommend keeping your berries in the BPA food grade bucket with lid in which the product was shipped, oxygen absorbers are optional for our products. Our products are ideal for long term storage as long as they are kept in the dark, cool and dry. When stored properly, wheat berries can last up to three years.

Will your products sprout?

All of our wheat products will sprout.

Will our wheat berry be good for growing wheatgrass?

Our wheat berries will grow  excellent wheatgrass.

Do I need to wash the wheat before grinding it for flour?

Although we clean the wheat multiple times, as with fresh vegetables and fruits, we recommend a light rinse before milling or consuming.

Do you grow or carry heirloom varieties of wheat?

Our wheat berries are all natural, but they are not heirloom varieties.
